Are your bats the exact same bats as the players use?
No, however, they are as close as the factories allow. The bats we use are professional model wood bats direct from the Louisville Slugger and Rawlings Sporting Goods factories. The bats are factory printed with the appropriate label markings, and barrel markings, except for the "sweetspot" area where player or team names normally appear. This space is left blank and it is where we do our printing. Why are actual professional model bats no longer available to the public, or the memorabilia hobby? Back in the early 1990s a decision was made by the the major bat manufacturers to stop providing actual player model bats to the hobby. The decision was one made in an attempt to reduce fraud in the industry. Mint player model bats would be used by private individuals and passed off to the hobby as "game used". With actual bats being provided there was no true way to differentiate these "game used" bats for actual "game used" bats. What are the sizes of your bats? Our bats are all 34 inches in length. The ounces vary with bats weighing between 28 ounces and 35 ounces. How are the bats printed? The natural wood (ash) Hillerich & Bradsby label (H&B) and Louisville Slugger label bats are wood burned to match the factory print. The black Louisville Slugger and black Rawlings bats are foil pressed in silver to match the factory print. The natural wood (ash) Rawlings and Adirondack bats are foil pressed in black to match the factory print. WE DO NOT LASER ENGRAVE! Do you use the player's actual signature when you print? No! To do so we would have to get the players written approval to replicate their signature. The types of print we use are block print and Gale Script print. The block print is a 36 pt. Hutch style print and consists of upper case letters only. The script print is a very free flowing cursive style that comes closest to be being described as the same type of print that you may find on a Cooper bat. The script print consists of both upper and lower case lettering. Numbers are also available in both styles of print. What forms of payment do you accept? We accept all major credit cards, checks, money orders and wire transfers. Sorry, no CODs offered. How do you ship you bats and how soon can you ship orders once payment is made? We ship via standard UPS Ground Service. However, if you require, we can use UPS's expedited services; i.e. Three Day Select, Second Day Air and Next Day Air.
